Status quo for York

Back in early August, Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd Anderson wide receiver Jesse York attempted to commit to the West Virginia Mountaineers. At this time, he isn't considered a commitment to Bill Stewart's program, because they first want him to visit Morgantown before moving any further.
While the 6-foot, 180-pound wide receiver waits, he says his recruiting remains status quo.

"There is not really any new news," York said. "I have taken my test and a lot of schools are waiting until I get my score back before doing anything else."
The South Florida wideout took the ACT on Oct. 23rd.
As for his recruitment, York said he has allowed his coaches to handle that while his focus is on the classroom and the football field.
"I haven't really been checking on it," York said. "My coaches know all of that."
When it does come to his recruiting though, the Mountaineers remain out in front. He explained why he is a fan of the Big East program.
"I liked them a lot because there was a possibility for me to compete for early playing time. There was a possibility for me to see the field early on," York said. "I like them because they run the spread offense and their quarterback is good. They run the same thing that my school runs.
"I haven't been up there for a visit," York added. "I want to get there for a visit."
When it comes time for York to hit the road for official visits, he wants to check out two other programs in addition to West Virginia.
"I want to check out Florida State and LSU as well," York said. "Neither of them have shown me interest, at least that I know of, so far."
Boyd Anderson is 7-2 on the regular season and wraps up their schedule against Miramar on Friday evening.
