Status quo for Hawaii DL

It has been awhile since we caught up with Kaneohe (Hawaii) Castle defensive lineman Solomon Koehler. The big lineman was very impressive at the NIKE Combine in Oakland back in February and was holding offers from Arizona and Colorado at that time. Fast forward a few months and things haven't changed much for the Rivals 100 member.
Koehler, 6-2.5, 300 pounds has great size and strength and really impressed at the Oakland combine. The big man clocked a 5.32-40, 4.81 in the shuttle and did 33 reps on the bench. We expected to see the lineman at the NIKE Camp at USC but flight issues canceled those plans.

After picking up the two early offers, we expected the lineman to be close to double digit offers by now but surprisingly, that isn't the case.
"I still just have those two offers," Koehler said. "Hawaii has given me a verbal offer but that's really it in addition to Arizona and Colorado. I'm not really hearing from that many schools right now but that's fine because I don't plan on making a decision any time soon.
"I'm going to take all my visits and I don't plan on committing anywhere until the last possible day. For now, I'm done with camps and I'm just getting ready for our season in the fall. I'm completely open to anyone who wants to recruit me and don't have a favorite or top five or anything. I like the schools that have offered but I'm open to everyone and like I said, I plan on going through the process before doing anything."
