State commit Linney keeping his options open

Earlier this month, defensive tackle Kyle Linney committed to the Wolfpack. With the recent news of Chuck Amato's firing, is the Taylorsville (N.C.) Alexander Central prospect reconsidering his decision?
"I think I'm going to be sticking with them for now," he said. "They are close to home and are a school I want to go to. If they are rebuilding, I want to be apart of that.

"I can say that Clemson has already contacted me and I did want to go there first, but State took over recruiting me the hardest. Clemson did let me know that they are interested and if they do offer that could change things, but I'm not sure on the situation there yet. I'm planning to go to the Shrine Bowl and will be pretty open to whatever."
Linney has already talked to Curt Cignetti.
"He told me that he plans to stay on staff and went on to say that he still wants me to come," he said. "I'm thinking about it a lot. If nothing great jumps up at the Shrine Bowl I'll definitely stick with North Carolina State."
