State Colleges Kerr begins to get looks

Among the recruits coming out of State College, Pa. in 2007 is wide receiver Andrew Kerr. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder is beginning to receive interest from a few colleges early in the process.
"A bunch of Division I and I-AA coaches are checking him out including Penn State, Vanderbilt, Duke, Syracuse, Northwestern and more," State College head coach Al Wolski said. "He is another one of our players that is a very good student with a 4.0 GPA and 1190 SAT.

"I think he can earn Division I scholarships, but a lot of it will depend on how he does next year. I think the I-AA schools are really hoping he'll fall to them."
The Keystone State prospect hauled in 38 receptions last season for the Little Lions.
"Andrew catches the ball extremely well and has good hands," he said. "He also runs disciplined patterns and has tremendous field sense. He is the type of receiver that always fights for extra yards after the catch and adjusts to the ball well too.
"Andrew is a super kid and obviously a very good student. He's a hard worker that does everything you ask of him. I know he really wants to play at the next level and is doing everything he can to get there."
