One of the top wide receivers in the east, Derrick Harper from Montclair, N.J., has a good idea about how he will deal with the recruiting process and the many schools that have offered him or will offer him over the next month or so.
"It's already starting to get a little crazy. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy that schools are offering so soon, but I think I might have a cut-off date."
What kind of cut-off?

"Right now I have 10 offers and I like many of those schools, so I might just wait until the end of May and then narrow my choices from the schools that have offered by that time."
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound receiver already has offers from Maryland, Rutgers, Penn State, Virginia, Pittsburgh, Florida, Syracuse, Boston College, Michigan and Wake Forest. Miami looks like they are ready to pull the trigger as well.
Derrick is not the first recruit to mention that he would like to narrow his choices by the end of May.
