Without a doubt one of the top wide receiver prospects in the country, Derrick Harper from Montclair, N.J., now has 22 offers and the list continues to grow. He now has offers from the following schools.
Maryland, Penn State, Virginia, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Florida, Syracuse, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Notre Dame, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Kansas State, Boston College, Clemson, Minnesota, Indiana and Purdue.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound receiver has a plan on how he will narrow down his choices.
"First, I want to stay on the east coast. Second, I want to be in or close to a city. I'd rather be at a school that is not in the middle of nowhere."
Derrick hopes to have his top 10 narrowed down by the end of June and then he can concentrate on the upcoming season. For now, teams like Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Pitt, Rutgers, Boston College, Penn State and Michigan State are getting the most attention from Harper. However, everyone who has offered has a chance.
"I should have my top schools very soon and then I'll narrow those to five. I want to take my visits before I commit so I will most likely wait until after my senior season before I do anything."
