Star TE Sets Third Official

State College (Pa.) State College Area tight end Jonathan Stupar already has official visits set with Virginia and Florida State. Now a third lucky team will get a visit from the four-star pass-catching threat.
"Jonathan is going to take an official visit to Arizona State for their game against Stanford on Sept. 28," said Stupar's father Steve. "We have a good family friend out in the area and my wife and I vacationed there before and it's a very nice area. Jon is very excited about the trip."

While ASU seems an odd choice based on location and other factors, the school has a lot of what the Stupars are looking for.
"Tight end is a priority for them this year and their facilities will be top rate," said Steve Stupar. "They also have an established FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) group which is a factor for Jon. We said all along we are looking for schools that are a good fit for jon, which may include some schools that some scratch their heads about 'why there?' We have done a tremendous amount of homework regarding his choice of schools to visit, and feel Arizona State would be a good fit for Jon."
Stupar, who caught 29 passes for 340 yards and eight scores as a junior, is set for his first official visit to Virginia for Sept. 6 and will also take a trip to Florida State on Oct. 26. The remaining two visits will be to either Iowa, Maryland, North Carolina, Boston College or UCLA.
"We'll set those up soon."
