Star RB ready for first visit

"My first official visit is this weekend," running back Darius Walker said. "It's to Stanford."

"I have Ohio State Jan. 16 and Notre Dame Jan. 23."

"My other schools are USC, Nebraska, Miami, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Florida, those are some of the main ones I'm also looking at."

"All the schools offered me a scholarship."

"I kind of have a leader, Notre Dame. Coach Willingham came down here the first day coaches were allowed to. That shows a level of interest."

"But Ohio State and maybe a couple of others are very close."

The 5-foot-11 and 195 pound Walker rushed for 2408 yards and a state record 46 touchdowns in leading Buford, Ga. to a 15-0 record including a state championship. Walker has now been a part of three straight state championships and 45 straight wins. He is the Rivals.com number 18 running back prospect with a four star rating.
