Star QB ready for Big Ten visit

Exton (Pa.) Downington East quarterback Pat Devlin is one of the top prospects in Big Ten country. The 6-foot-3 and 195 pounder completed 147 of 231 passes (64%) for 2237 yards during his junior season. Devlin connected for 21 touchdowns as he was named all-state.
Devlin is a fine all-around athlete who averages 10 points and 15 rebounds per game in basketball. He has a 3.8 GPA and scored an 1170 on the SAT.
"I have a little over 20 offers now I think," Devlin said. "I haven't narrowed it down at all. But I'm mostly looking at the schools that have offered.
"Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina State, Pitt, Miami, Penn State, Minnesota, Michigan State, Iowa, Illinois, Purdue, those are some of my offers.
"Some of them have called. Virginia was the last one to call.
"I visited Maryland, Virginia, Penn State, and Pitt. I went to Penn State for a spring practice. The others were junior days.
"I'm going to visit Miami in early June. And I'm going to Michigan this weekend.
"I think I'll make a commitment before the season starts. I'll visit some more schools this summer, but I'm not sure who."
