Star QB Jones to make some visits

Chicago (Ill.) Morgan Park quarterback Demetrius Jones, the No. 1 prospect in the state of Illinois and the country's No. 2 dual-threat quarterback prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings, says he will visit a number of schools before the end of the summer.
"Right now I'm dedicating my time to my team," said Jones, the nation's 53rd-ranked player. "I'm not talking to colleges much right now. Right now winning a high school state championship is most important."

Asked if he has visited any colleges this summer, Jones said, "I went to Illinois. That's the only one I went to in the month of June.
"I'm going to North Carolina later this summer. And Purdue. And probably Illinois again. And Tennessee. I'll do that before two-a-days start. And I'll try to get to Ohio State."
Jones currently lists Illinois and Notre Dame slightly ahead of a pack that includes the Buckeyes, Louisville, North Carolina, Purdue, Tennessee and Northern Illinois.
Jones threw for 2,300 yards and tossed 21 touchdowns to just three picks, and also ran for 1,100 yards as a junior.
