"Ohio State, Michigan, Miami of Florida, and Florida," defensive lineman David Patterson said. "I'd say those are my top four."
"All four have offered me. I have close to 40 offers now."
"Ohio State is definitely still my favorite. Then it's Michigan. Miami and Florida are kind of far from home."
"I went to Ohio State's senior camp and Michigan's camp for one day."
"The Ohio State camp was great. The coaches treated me real well. It was like we were a team there."
"The Michigan coaches did a great job of treating me and my mother great. They told me how much they want me. They were nice up there."
"I'm not sure when I'll decide. I was thinking about doing it before the season, but right now I'm just concentrating on the season. It could be the middle of the season or afterwards. Whenever I'm ready."
Patterson, a 6-foot-3 and 260 pounder from Warrensville Heights, Ohio, made 120 tackles including 16 sacks during his junior season. He has a 2.7 GPA and scored an 870 on the SAT.
