Star junior favors Irish and PSU

Detroit (Mich.) Country Day junior running back Jonas Gray is one of the top football players and track athletes in the Michigan class of 2008.
The 5-foot-9 and 206-pounder rushed for 797 yards and scored 15 times during his sophomore season. He has run the 100 meters in 10.55 seconds and the 200 in 21.96 seconds.

Not surprisingly Gray is drawing interest from some of the country's top college football programs including Michigan.
"I went to their camp," Gray said. "I liked it. They showed me some drills I can work on. Overall it was a good camp."
And while Gray likes the Wolverines, two other schools currently sit at the top of his list.
"Notre Dame I'd have to say is my No. 1 school," Gray said. "Penn State is No. 2. Michigan is No. 3. Minnesota is No. 4."
After those four there are four more schools bunched together.
"I'm not sure who No. 5 is," Gray said. "I like UCLA. I like Purdue. I like Northwestern and Ohio State."
When asked about his top choice, the Fighting Irish, Gray said, "I like their program and their tradition. I grew up watching Notre Dame. I'm just a Fighting Irish fan."
