Star junior and interested observer

Warren (Ohio) Harding running back Daniel Herron showed he was a major college prospect his sophomore year when he rushed for 900 yards in route to being named a second team all-conference selection.
The 5-foot-10 and 190-pound junior has been even better this season rushing for close to 1300 yards and 12 touchdowns through eight games.

Daniel Herron's older brother David Herron was a fine player for Harding a few years ago and is currently a redshirt junior starter at linebacker for Michigan State.
Daniel was a guest of Ohio State on Saturday as the Buckeyes took on the Spartans.
"It was real nice," Daniel said of the Ohio State-Michigan State game. "I enjoyed it a lot. I was rooting for my brother, but I like Ohio State.
"I like Ohio State and Michigan. My favorite team is probably the Miami Hurricanes. I like USC and Texas.
"Schools recruiting me are Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Minnesota, and Wisconsin."
So what about the Spartans?
"I like Michigan State too," Daniel said. "They're doing a lot better this year. I've been up there plenty of times to see my brother."
While Daniel doesn't have any scholarship offers at this early point, it is just a matter of time till he does. He will be one of the top running back prospects in northeast-Ohio next season.
