Stanton has busy camp schedule

Johnny Stanton has a busy round of camp visits coming up and it could make his recruitment much easier or maybe even more complicated.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pound dual-threat quarterback from Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Catholic is planning to soon visit UCLA, Utah, Washington State, Oregon and Oregon State.

"A lot of them want me to go to their camps and that's understandable," Stanton said. "They want to compare me to the other quarterbacks who go to their camps. With the three weeks I'm given for camps this year it's tough to get a feel.
"It will just be how I feel from the coaches, the school and the area. I really don't know yet. It might make things harder for me because I might love all the schools. I'm not sure of the second half of the three weeks but those are the schools I'm positive about so far.
"It could make it easier for me or it could make it a lot harder."
So far, Stanton, who looked good at the Oakland Elite 11 and the Oakland NIKE Camp a couple weeks ago, has offers from Air Force, Cal, Navy, San Diego State, Utah State and Washington.
Not many other schools have gotten involved in his recruitment recently except Wisconsin which Stanton said has been talking to him a little more.
"Wisconsin has been talking to me on and off but they called me (Thursday) and then I called them back and we talked for a little while," Stanton said. "They said I'm still on their radar."
In his junior season, Stanton threw for 2,439 yards with 13 touchdowns and rushed for 1,428 yards and 21 scores.
