Stankiewitch adds third offer

Schuylkill Haven (Pa.) Blue Mountain offensive tackle Matt Stankiewitch is quickly compiling offers. The 6-foot-4, 288-pounder already holds two offers from Connecticut and West Virginia. He picked up another offer from the Big East last week.
"I just got an offer the other day from Rutgers," he said. "I'm really excited to get it although I haven't been there yet. I have been in touch with coach Susan and he said they really like my game style and the fact I finish blocks. A lot of teams have told me they really like my explosion off the ball."

In the near future, the Scarlet Knights are one of a few teams looking to get Stankiewitch on campus.
"I'm looking to go to Rutgers on the 7th," he said. "I'm also trying to get to Maryland on the 14th and Connecticut for their junior day on April 28th.
"On those visits, I'm just looking to see the all-around best package for me. I want to get to talk to the coaches and see the campus more."
With a third offer in-hand, does the lineman have any favorites?
"It changes every day," he said. "All the schools that have offered and I am visiting I'm thinking about.
"I'm looking for a few things out of a school. I want a good location something within a 300 mile radius. I also want a good coaching staff and an opportunity to gain playing time."
Stankiewitch earned all-state honors as a junior.
