Stanford wants Burke to visit

Tyler Burke has taken his two most recent college visits to Maryland and Rutgers. In other words when he has traveled he has not ventured too far from home.
One of the nations top programs, an emerging powerhouse in the Pac-12, wants him to step outside his comfort zone and travel to the other side of the country and at least see how he feels about things.

"Stanford called me a few days ago so they've used their one call already," Burke said. "They want me to come out there and visit."
That would be quite a trip especially considering the Cardinal has not offered. However, they do seem interested in the 6-foot-4, 240-pound linebacker from Coatesville (Pa.), and Burke probably fits the mold of the kind of big but athletic linebacker Stanford has had lately.
Will Burke make that trip?
"I'm not sure yet," he responded. "I would want to go [visit] there but it's a long ways."
While Burke, the nation's No. 40 outside linebacker, is still trying to decide whether he will visit Stanford he does not seem to have too much else on his mind related to recruiting.
"I don't have anything planned as of right now. I mean, I might in a little while but I'm not sure as of now," Burke said.
The junior linebacker does have current offers from Pittsburgh, N.C. State, Maryland, Rutgers, Wisconsin, Temple, Syracuse and Massachusetts.
