Stanford trip big for Town

Ricky Town is spending a few days in the Bay Area getting a feel for Northern California and heading over to Stanford to see if it could be the right fit for him.
The 2015 quarterback from Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure is spending time with the coaches, they're spending time with him to see what kind of connection they have as his recruitment continues to heat up.

No offer has come through yet from Stanford for Town, one of the top quarterbacks at the recent Rivals Camp in Los Angeles, but his recruitment has already taken off with offers from Miami and UCLA.
"That is definitely a big visit," Town said. "I'm really looking forward to it. It's definitely a school I'm considering and looking at. I'm excited to just see what they have to offer and see what Stanford is all about.
"They're interested in getting to know me. They said they don't really want to just send out offers. They want to see the kid in person and get the kid on campus first before they start really the process of recruiting.
"Recruiting is going well with them. As much as they're looking at me I'm looking at them the same way to see if it would be a good fit."
Others are also getting involved with Town, one of the top 2015 quarterbacks in the West.
He said Arizona State has been in a lot of contact and that USC has reached out to gauge interest as well.
With St. Bonaventure's four-star tight end, Bryce Dixon, Town will be headed over to USC in a couple weeks to check out its spring practice.
"They said they're interested in me and they want to see me at the spring practice with Bryce," Town said. "We're going over on April 13."
