Stanford nets one of Floridas best

It is official one of the best tight end prospects in the Southeast region will be coming west as Patrick Danahy (6-5, 225, 4.7) from Sarasota (Fla.) Cardinal Mooney committed to Stanford today.
“It was the whole package that Stanford offers,” Danahy’s mom said. That sentiment was echoed by Danahy.
“The reason I chose Stanford was it offers me the best combination of academics and athletics I could find,” Danahy said. “Stanford is a special place.”
In the end it came down to Stanford and Georgia Tech with Stanford getting the nod.
Stanford gets the complete package for a tight end. Danahy is a superb blocker and he’s a dangerous threat to catch the ball.
Danahy had 37 receptions for 506 yards and six touchdowns for his senior season.
Great get for Stanford.
