Stanford lands two-sport star

One of southern California’s best two sport athletes is Evan Moore (6-6, 230, 4.6) from Brea (Calif.) Brea Olinda. The talented Moore committed to Stanford Monday evening.
Moore will play both football and basketball for the Cardinal so Stanford gets two players in one.

Moore has that competitive spirit that college coaches love in their players.
For most of the recruiting season Moore favored UCLA, USC and Stanford with the Cardinal having a slight lead. In the end the Cardinal hold serve and win this recruiting battle.
Stanford likes him as a wide receiver but many feel that Moore could grow into a fantastic tight end.
Moore told Rivals that he had a trip to USC on December 6th but that trip will more than likely be canceled now. Moore said in an earlier interview with Rivals100, “If I make my decision in October I will take only one trip to the school I commit to.”
Hoop programs and their coaches played a roll in the recruitment of this talent.
The word on the street was that Stanford hoops coach Mike Montgomery did a real nice job recruiting Moore.
