Stanford Lands three-star OL

The Stanford Cardinal recently landed one of the best offensive lineman in the Western Region when Benjamin Muth (6-6, 280, 5.2) from Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle decided that Stanford was the place for him to continue his education and athletic career after his high school days are over.
Muth chose the Cardinal over Oregon (offer), BYU (offer), Cal, ASU and Northwestern.

Muth was selected all-conference for his on field performance as a junior. In the weight room, Muth has a bench of 315 and a squat of 415.
“Stanford is a great school,” Muth said. “It’s in the Pac10 and they have a great coaching staff.”
“The more I talked to the coaches the more I liked them,” Muth said. “Stanford probably has the best campus in the nation. At least it was the best campus out of the schools I’ve seen.”
“The facilities are awesome,” Muth said. “Stanford also plays in a great stadium.”
The Cardinal gets a player who has good size and quick feet. Muth is an outstanding run blocker who finishes his blocks. Though his team runs the wing T and the running game is a priority, Muth is a terrific pass blocker too.
“We (Pinnacle high school) pass more than most wing T teams,” Muth said. “We had pretty good quarterback so we threw the ball.”
Muth is a very intelligent football player who takes care of business on and off the field. He carries an impressive 3.8 GPA and a 1310 SAT.
Stanford gets good here with the verbal commitment of Muth.
