Stanford impresses LB early on

Ben Boulware is from Anderson (S.C.) T.L. Hanna but that has not stopped Stanford from offering him early and the 6-foot-1, 225-pound inside linebacker is definitely interested.
Boulware said at the recent U.S. Army National Combine in San Antonio that he's definitely interested in the Cardinal and would like to visit soon but nothing has been scheduled yet.

A trip might have to wait until Boulware can take an official visit but Stanford has taken a slight lead in his recruitment thus far. It's early for sure but the Cardinal have made an impression
"They offered in the last few months," Boulware said. "I want to get out there but I haven't been out there yet. I want to take an official next year. They compete athletically and academically so I guess they're on the top right now.
"We sent film out there two or three weeks before they offered and we had a linebacker two years ago that they offered and our tight end who's a senior they offered so I guess they're keeping an eye on the area."
The South Carolina prospect said he has "no clue" on when he'll be able to make it to Stanford but it could be a busy off-season for him.
USF and Stanford are the two offers for Boulware and he said Georgia, USC, Auburn, Tennessee and NC State are all showing interest.
Distance does not seem to be a factor at this point for Boulware, one of the top linebackers at the Army combine.
"I'll travel to play," Boulware said. "I'll go anywhere."
