Stanford commit anxious to get back in action

Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic safety Shutang Mungwa remains verbally committed to Stanford so it's an exciting time for him.
His senior year hasn't gone totally as planned, however. Since the third week of the season Mungwa has been out of action because of a severe bone bruise to his knee.

Bergen Catholic has two regular season games remaining and Mungwa is targeting that last game of the season against Paramus Catholic for his return.
"It's just been trainers rooms and weight room visits trying to rehab and get back out there ASAP," Mungwa reported on Wednesday evening.
When asked whether he remains solidly committed to the Cardinal, Mungwa's answer was unequivocal.
"Oh yeah, definitely," he said. "I just need to send out my application and hope they let me in.
"I have a solid chance (of getting in) and I really don't see anything going wrong but there are some cases where kids don't get in so hopefully I'm not one of those stories.
"They were happy with my first (SAT) score last school year, which was 1660, and I took it again on October 10 this year."
Prior to committing to Stanford back in May, Mungwa had received offers from Louisville and Stanford.
