Position: Free safety
Size and speed: Cory is 6-foot-1, 186 pounds and runs a 4.5-second 40-yard dash.
Statistics: Boyd had eight interceptions from his safety position during his junior season with 55 solo tackles, three sacks and eight pass breakups. As a running back, he rushed for 1,736 yards and 24 touchdowns and was named his county's Offensive Player of the Year.
Honors: All-state group 2, all-county, all-conference.
Favorite Schools: Cory favors Rutgers, Virginia, Michigan, Maryland, Penn State and Nebraska. He has an offer from Rutgers at this time.
Skinny: A very determined player with size and speed to play either side of the ball at the D-1 level. He is shifty, has very good vision and is strong. He is a very good hitter and plays solid man-to-man defense. With a 36-inch vertical jump he is able to go over the top of receivers and make big-time plays.
"I play both running back and safety now, but I think I would rather play defense in college."
College recruiters are looking at Cory for his athletic abilities because he could even play wide receiver and return kicks and punts.
