Position: Offensive Line
Size and Speed: Drew stands 6-foot-5, weighs in at 270 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 5.1 seconds. Radovich benches 250 pounds, squats 455 pounds and cleans 290 pounds.
Statistics: N/A.
Honors: Radovich was selected all-state, all-CIF and all-league for his performance his junior season.
Favorite Schools: When you are one of the elite offensive linemen in the state of California you hear from everybody. Drew, however, is keeping his options open. USC has already offered this talented player a scholie. USC with UCLA, ASU, Arizona, Texas and Notre Dame are Drew’s early favorites. Drew admitted that he grew up watching both local schools (UCLA & USC). Radovich has ties to ASU (his parents both attended the Tempe campus) and Arizona where his sister attends school.
The Skinny: Drew has the frame that D1 schools love. He’s very lean and hasn’t begun to fill out yet. Once Radovich gets involved in a D1 weight regimen, he will fill out. He hasn’t begun to scratch his potential.
“Drew is an outstanding player,” Mission Viejo head coach Bob Johnson said. “He’s an awesome player and is the whole package,” said Johnson.
After interviewing this young man you come away impressed by his poise and intelligence. Drew is a humble young man who gives the credit of his development as a football player to his coaches. “I have to give a lot of credit my coaches,” Radovich said. “Coach Spaulding has made me into the football player I am,” Radovich said.
Drew is already an outstanding technician who has great feet and agility. He is just good a pass as he is a run blocker.
Keep your eyes on this one. Drew will be one of the most hotly recruited linemen on the West Coast…
