Standout JUCO nears decision

Donyell Booker (6 ½, 295, 5.0) from Reedley Junior College in California is one of the most dominating and talented defensive linemen on the JUCO level.
“Donyell is quick as a cat,” Reedley JC assistant coach Shane Beatty said. “He’s a big guy who can really move. Booker has fought through double and triple teams all season long. He plays the nose on a three-man front.”

Beatty wasn’t just whistling Dixie. Booker is hard to stop. He has racked up 62 solo tackles while accumulating 14 ½ sacks. Booker’s sack numbers read like a rush end. Booker collected his sacks lining up over the center.
Booker was getting recruited by everybody but he has pretty much narrowed down to two teams. Before he did narrow down his list, he canceled visits to Tennessee and San Diego State. UNLV and Texas A&M were also in the hunt.
Booker was at Oregon State this past weekend for an official visit on November 22nd. He was still Corvallis yesterday. He has one more visit scheduled this coming weekend on November 29th and that is to Fresno State.
Another thing that Booker has going for him is he will be a December grad so he will be able to play in spring ball.
Booker has 2x2 eligibility.
