Chesterfield (Va.) Cosby cornerback CJ Stancil pulled his first scholarship a month ago. Since then, the 5-foot-11, 185-pounder added a second and is preparing to hit the camp circuit.
"I got my first offer from Buffalo and I believe it's going on two weeks now that Old Dominion offered me, that's my second," he said. "I really am very interested in Buffalo actually. I really like the coaches.
"I took a visit up there and I like the campus and everything. Old Dominion I'm not too familiar with, but I'm interested in learning more. I'm visiting down there this week I believe."
Those aren't the only schools interested in Stancil.
"Ohio, Delaware, Duke, Virginia, Maryland are the top ones I'm hearing from right now," he said. "I just came back from a Delaware camp and they were very impressed.
"I'm going to Duke, Maryland and Virginia for camps. Maryland really liked my film. I just sent some game film and they want to see me in person for camp."
Does Stancil like anyone?
"Buffalo is one of my top schools," he said. "I'm interested in Virginia also. I've taken numerous visits up there.
"I'm curious to learn more about Old Dominion and Maryland. I like Duke also."
As more visits come, Stancil is looking for a few things on his trips.
"I just want a good relationship with the coaches, a good feel about the campus and a campus where there are things to do when I'm not playing football. I'll look at the football tradition too."
