Stanback has favorites

A handful of offers are in for Lithonia (Ga.) Martin Luther King athlete Hector Stanback. The 6-foot-0, 200-pounder is on the verge of adding to his total and discussed the latest.
"I've got offers from UNLV, UAB, Chattanooga and Cincinnati," he said.

"UAB is my most recent offer a couple of weeks ago."
Stanback has been to a few camps, but is eyeing at least a couple more to Appalachian State and Cincinnati.
"Cincinnati has talked about trying to get me to commit while I'm there on July 21st," he said. "They want me to come up and commit."
Meanwhile, plenty of other schools including Bowling Green, Kent State, North Carolina, Vanderbilt, East Carolina, Colorado State, Hawaii and Washington are also keeping a close eye on Stanback.
"They all want me to visit and see me at camp," he said. "Some of them will wait until the season to offer since I didn't play spring ball."
Stanback noted that a few schools are sticking out.
"I really like North Carolina and I want to also take an official to Hawaii," he said. "Cincinnati though is probably really my No. 1. The coaches show love and I like the facilities and the campus. I just like it there. With Hawaii and North Carolina, Hawaii's coaches really liked me, but I haven't heard from them in awhile. I like North Carolina cause of their fan base. They are a winning program and I should be taking a visit up there this summer too."
A versatile prospect, Stanback wants to play safety at the next level.
He is coming off a solid junior season where he registered 60 tackles, one interception, which he returned for a touchdown, and one fumble returned for a score.
