Stallons lands first offer

It is a very good year for talent in the state of Michigan overall, and in particular it is a strong year for quarterback prospects.
One of those quarterback prospects recruiters are taking notice of is Macomb (Mich.) Dakota's James Stallons.

The 6-foot-6 and 171-pound Stallons passed for 2200 yards during his junior season. He completed 57% of his passes and connected for 18 touchdowns. Stallons threw just seven interceptions.
Besides his productivity, recruiters like Stallons' size and athletic ability.
"I like Wisconsin, Iowa, Purdue, Eastern Michigan, Miami of Ohio, Toledo, and Michigan State a little," Stallons said. "Eastern Michigan offered. I went to a 1-day camp there and they offered."
Stallons has other camps in mind.
"Next weekend I'm going to Iowa," he said. "And I'm going to a quarterback camp at Purdue around June 25 or 26.
"I'm going to hit Wisconsin too. It's not for a camp. They are going to show me around."
Stallons, who says he has received calls from Wisconsin, Iowa, Miami of Ohio, Toledo, Michigan State, and Bowling Green, hopes the Badgers offer a scholarship.
"Wisconsin is my favorite right now," he said. "I like the coaches. I like their football program.
"Iowa is up there too. I like the coaches there and they have a good team every year."
