St. Louis WR now a hot target

St. Louis Cardinal Ritter receiver Bryan Baldwin might be one of the hottest recruits in the Midlands. So why has the three-star prospect gone with little fan fare this recruiting season?
“I don’t know why,” Baldwin said. “I guess the coaches are just discovering me, and things are starting to get really exciting on the recruiting front.”

Two teams have been with him since the start – Northern Illinois and Kansa State. Those two teams are going to get official visits this weekend and the following weekend, respectively. But now Wisconsin is in the picture and will get a December 20 visit and Iowa, Kansas and Indiana are also hoping to get a visit some time in January.
“Everybody sounds pretty good to me,” Baldwin, who is 6-foot and 172 pounds, said. “I’m not committing or anything like that yet. I’m going to take some visits and see how things work out.”
Baldwin has had a busy week with in-home visits. Iowa was at his house on Sunday, Kansas State was in on Tuesday and then Wisconsin was there last night.
“Kansas State, Indiana and Wisconsin are talking about me starting out at defensive back,” Baldwin said. “Iowa is recruiting me as an athlete and going to come in and let me pick my position. Kansas and Northern like me at receiver.”
At this point, he does have a written offer from Northern and has received oral offers from Kansas, Wisconsin and Indiana.
