St. Louis LB closing in on a choice

St. Louis (Mo.) Cardinal Ritter linebacker Quentin Davie is holding several scholarship offers and his coach believes a decision could be just around the corner.
"Quentin is getting a lot of interest from schools," Cardinal Ritter coach Ron Villans said. "A lot of people that will be pushing for a verbal commit in April from him. His plan is to have his decision done early on. He wants to get it done with before the summer starts. The coaches know he is good and they want him in their program.

"He's not favoring anybody. One day he is leaning one way, then another day it is another. I wouldn't want to predict where he will end up at this point."
The list of schools pursuing the 6-foot-4, 192-pound Davie includes Iowa, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Michigan State, UCLA, Stanford and Kansas State.
"He has some good choices. He has scholarship offers from all of those schools except Kansas State. They haven't been by yet. They know all about him though.
"He is an athlete and a competitor. He can do so many things on the field. We put him at linebacker last year. He's a hitter. We'll leave him there this fall and I think that is where he'll probably end up in college."
