Equanimeous St. Brown had received offers from all over the country and has proven to be one of the top wide receivers in the 2015 class.
There was one major omission from St. Brown's offer list - UCLA - and the four-star receiver was told that was because scholarships were tight and the Bruins were going to wait on him.
That changed once UCLA coach Jim Mora got a chance to see St. Brown at 6-foot-5 and 193 pounds at a recent practice.
Physically, there are few receivers who look better than the Anaheim (Calif.) Servite standout and Mora decided to offer right away.
"I went down to UCLA to watch one of their practices so Jim Mora got a chance to see me and he saw how much I grew, how much I blossomed, how much I matured so then that really sold him," St. Brown said.
"Then he went back and watched some of my film he told me and they decided to offer me. They wanted to wait until coach (Eric) Yarber could tell me in person."
Stanford, USC and Notre Dame are some of the biggest offers so far for St. Brown, rated as the No. 18 receiver in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, and he said UCLA joins that top echelon as well.
While St. Brown said he wants to consider all the schools recruiting him, he will take a closer look at the Bruins now that he's been offered. UCLA is now in the mix.
"It's a really big one," St. Brown said. "I'm still considering all my schools. I thought it was always a possibility (UCLA would offer)."
No commitment is expected until at least the summer after the Anaheim Servite receiver visits schools in the Midwest including Notre Dame, Northwestern and Illinois when he is in the area for the Sound Mind, Sound Body Camp.
