St. Brown anxious to represent West at UA game

Equanimeous St. Brown performed well at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge presented by Under Armour and The Opening last summer, but playing in the Under Armour All-America Game is a little different, a little more special.
"It gives me a chance to play against the top players across the country in a padded game, in a full game, so that's cool and it will be good to travel to Orlando," St. Brown said.
The four-star wide receiver from Anaheim (Calif.) Servite was presented with his Under Armour game jersey during a ceremony Tuesday at his high school.
The 6-foot-5, 190-pound standout who's rated as the No. 11 receiver in the 2015 class by Rivals.com enjoyed his experiences in Baltimore and Oregon this summer but a real game carries a little extra meaning to him.
"It's different because those were no pads," St. Brown said. "This gives us a chance to play in a real game with real refs and a real crowd."
It's also extra meaningful because he wants to perform well for the West. During those showcases this summer there was a lot of talk about who has the best players in the country, and St. Brown feels strongly that California has its fair share of talent.
Maybe the best talent in the country, and the Anaheim Servite receiver who has 21 receptions and three touchdowns so far this season wants to prove it during his week in Florida -- against many of the best prospects from the Southeast.
"It kind of is big because at The Opening and at the Rivals Camp we all talked about who has the best talent, who has the best athletes," St. Brown said. "We have something to prove out here on the West Coast."
As for recruiting, St. Brown recently returned from his first official visit to Notre Dame. He absolutely loved the trip -- save for the weather -- and the Irish will definitely remain under serious consideration.
The four-star receiver plans to visit Utah when it hosts Oregon in early November. Other official visits are being planned but nothing has been worked out yet.
USC and UCLA could get official trips, but St. Brown has not solidified anything yet. Stanford is another school under consideration, but it's unlikely he takes an official there because he's already taken two trips to the school.
