St. Bonaventure stars add offers

Todd Therrien has coached plenty of good players in his time as coach at Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure and he's really excited about a few of this 2010 prospects, especially offensive lineman Giovanni Di Poalo.
"Giovanni didn't quite grow to the tackle size that we expected him to, but we think he's one of the best offensive linemen out here in California," Therien said.

"He's really developed as a good, hard-nosed blocker and has added some good size. He's not going to be a tackle, but he's a solid 6-foot-3 3/8 and 260 pounds now.
"I think he's going to be an excellent guard or center for somebody in the Pac 10."
And the Pac 10 has already come calling. Along with interest from both USC and UCLA, Di Poalo has added three other offers to his resume.
"I know Arizona, Arizona State and Washington have already offered him," Therien said. "The offers from Arizona and ASU are in writing, and the Washington one is going to be official here soon. He's got a lot of schools coming hard after him."
Therien said the other St. Bonaventure player that has an early offer on the table is defensive back Troy Hill, a 5-foot-10, 160-pound cornerback.
"He's got an offer from Arizona already," Therien said. "I know once people see more of him on tape, they're going to really like him. His offer sheet will explode this spring."
