Spurlock waits for offers, looks into visit

Richmond (Va.) Henrico wide receiver Brandon Spurlock has had a solid season up to this point. The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder's year hasn't helped the Warriors produce on the field though.
"We're going through our games and have had a tough season, we're 1-4," he stated. "We're actually a pretty young team, but I think I'm having a great season. I think I've made about 12 catches for 260-yards and four touchdowns. I can tell I'm becoming a bigger playmaker for our team."

While the season isn't going exactly as planned, Spurlock is excited about recruiting.
"Recruiting is really heating up and I think I should receive more offers in the next couple months," he said. "Virginia called recently and just wanted to tell me that they are still looking and they like me a lot. I have to send them some film for evaluation.
"Other schools that will offer soon include Richmond, Elon and James Madison. They are all saying they want me to come up and check out the school and get used to the area."
The Commonwealth prospect appears to be leaning towards the Cavaliers still.
"I'd have to say Virginia is my favorite," he said. "That's the best fit for me and that's my home school. I really like the location and the city there. The academics are also very good.
"I'm looking into scheduling an official visit sometime soon. Most likely I'd like to go to one of their big games, possibly the one against Miami."
