Spurlock makes a decision
Richmond (Va.) Henrico wide receiver Brandon Spurlock has made a decision. The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder is headed to North Carolina to play for Elon over offers from James Madison and William & Mary.
"I made a commitment to Elon and I'm sticking with that," he said. "I went on an official visit there January 12th and they told me I was their top guy on the board for either cornerback or wide receiver. I may even be able to play both.

"I like that they definitely want me to come in and play as a freshman. They think I can contribute on the field."
The coaches were a factor in Spurlock's decision as well.
"I like all of them," he said. "The whole staff is in love with me and they came by for an in-home visit two days after my official. That's when I knew it was Elon."
