Recruiters know Cretin-Derham is a must stop school when looking for football prospects in the state of Minnesota, so it's not surprising many are well aware of Springer.
"I've heard from about 35 to 40 Division I schools," Springer said. "I'm just going through and seeing who is really interested."
However Springer does have some schools in mind.
"One would be Iowa," he said. "And Minnesota and Vanderbilt too. Colorado, North Carolina State, Stanford, Iowa State, and Wisconsin would be some others.
"I'm interested in any school. I'm open to going just about anywhere."
Springer has visited a number of schools.
"I went to junior days at Minnesota, Iowa, and Iowa State," he said. "I attended spring practices at Wisconsin, Iowa, Iowa State, and Minnesota."
Springer has some additional trips in mind.
"I'll go to some camps in June," he said. "For sure I'll go to Iowa and Minnesota. I'm considering some others too."
