Spring visits planned for Shaw

Athlete Tevin Shaw of Piscataway (N.J.) continues to receive interest from a number of top programs up and down the East Coast, and will take a few visits during the spring. In the meantime he is also busy preparing for his senior season.
"Things are good," said Shaw, who named the schools that are currently showing him the most interest. "I'm hearing a lot from South Carolina, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Purdue, Boston College, Rutgers and Penn State."

Shaw, 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, also gave an update on his visit schedule.
"I've just taken a visit to Rutgers, and I'm supposed to go to South Carolina and North Carolina in May over spring break," said Shaw. "I also plan on going to as many camps that I can, including every school that has shown interest in me."
With Rutgers being walking distance from his house, Shaw shared his thoughts about his junior day experience.
"It was pretty good," said Shaw. "I like the facilities a lot."
Part of Shaw's strength is his versatility, as he is being recruited as a defensive back, running back and athlete by different schools. He is hoping to enhance some of his skills this off-season.
"I'll be working on my footwork, my explosiveness and my all-around strength," said Shaw.
Finally, Shaw shared his thoughts on what he will be looking for in a school.
"I'm looking for a college experience, and a team that matches my personality, expectations and work ethic," said Shaw.
