Spring important for Boehme

Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood three-star dual-threat quarterback Parker Boehme landed early offers from Marshall and Southern Miss. Those two remain the only offers for the 6-foot-2, 215-pound quarterback but he expects more in May.
"A lot of schools are telling me that they will be coming by in the spring," Boehme said. "Oregon called and said they would be here in the spring. Last time I talked to UCF and Ole Miss, they both said they were about to offer but they haven't yet, but they also said they would be here in the spring. Middle Tennessee is another school that is close to offering."

The Sunshine State prospect hasn't recently taken any trips to see schools. He intends to attend a number of college camps during the summer.
"I know I am going to camp at Middle Tennessee, they are going to offer me if I show up and do well," Boehme said.
"I also would like to go to Memphis," Boehme added. "(Sandalwood head) Coach (Adam) Geis' dad, Buddy Geis, he is really good friends with the new offensive coordinator there (at Memphis) and he says that I would love it there. So I would like to get a chance to go up there.
"I would also really like to see Ole Miss," Boehme continued.
At this stage, Boehme says his recruitment isn't taking up much of his focus. He intends to give it a lot more attention after the spring concludes.
"I am hoping that after spring I have a few more offers," Boehme said. "At that point, I am just going to really focus on them and try to have at least a top five to choose from. I will work on getting real close with them. I have no idea when I will make a decision but hopefully I will have a top five after spring."
Boehme also participates in track and field where he throws the shotput. He recently won a conference meet.
