Spread offense sounds good to McCoy

Klein (Texas) Forest wide receiver Bobby McCoy took his first official visit of the year with a trip to Arizona.
"The visit went real good," he said. "I liked everything. No one thing really stood out. It was just all good."

The visit made a good impression on McCoy, but no decision has been made by the 6-foot-1, 170-pound receiver.
"I want to go on the rest of my visits," he said. "I won't make a choice until after I take the trips and see more of the plans for the offenses at each school. Coach (Mike) Stoops told me they are going to run a three or four wide receiver type of offense. That type of offense sounds good to me. That would give me the opportunity to play early in my career. I want to see what the others say too."
McCoy will visit Arkansas (Jan. 16), Texas A&M (Jan. 23) and Notre Dame (Jan. 30).
While he was in Tucson, McCoy said a couple of players committed to play for the Wildcats.
"Yaniv Barnett and Dominic Patrick committed to play for Arizona," he said. "But, that was it. I've heard that someone said McCollins (Umeh) committed. He committed to K-State. This visit was just kind of a fun trip for him. I see him all the time. If he committed, he didn't say a thing about it to me on the way home."
