On Monday Bellbrook, Ohio, linebacker Austin Spitler, a 6-foot-2 and 225 pounder, said he expected Ohio State to visit his school on Tuesday. He hoped to find out if he would be receiving a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes.
"I haven't heard anything yet," Spitler said immediately after school Tuesday. "They can't talk to me at school so I'm not sure. I haven't seen my coach so I don't know if they talked to him."
Then on Tuesday night, Austin's father Greg said he and his son were still waiting.
"He did not hear anything from Ohio State," Greg Spitler said. "They may have talked to his coach, but we haven't heard anything."
Spitler has narrowed his decision down to Wisconsin and Ohio State. He has an official visit scheduled with the Badgers for Dec. 3. Wisconsin has offered a scholarship.
Spitler has been a varsity starter on both sides of the ball since his sophomore year. He led Bellbrook to a 7-3 record this season making 135 tackles and intercepting two passes from his inside linebacker spot.
