Spitler gets his offer

"He got a call this morning from Ohio State, Bellbrook, Ohio, linebacker Austin Spitler's father Greg Spitler said on Wednesday. "He said he talked to coach Fickell, coach Heacock, and coach Tressel. They said they put a written offer in the mail yesterday."
So, did the 6-foot-2 and 225 pound Spitler commit to the Buckeyes?

"He told them he already made a commitment to visit Wisconsin Dec. 3," Greg Spitler said. "So he is going to honor that. The Ohio State coaches understood. They were fine with that.
"He'll probably visit Ohio State Dec. 10, but that's not scheduled yet."
Austin Spitler had previously indicated that if an offer came from Ohio State, he would likely commit to the Buckeyes.
Asked if he thought that would happen, Greg Spitler said, "I hope so. The decision is his, but I can't imagine him not going to Ohio State."
Austin Spitler has been a varsity starter on both sides of the ball since his sophomore year. He led Bellbrook to a 7-3 record this season making 135 tackles and intercepting two passes from his inside linebacker spot.
