"I committed to Ohio State," Bellbrook, Ohio, linebacker Austin Spitler said. "Wisconsin still wants me to come out there (Dec. 3), but I don't think I'll go.
"Growing up a Buckeye, that was always kind of my dream. Ohio State is close to home. It's just where I want to be.
"My official visit will be Dec. 10. We haven't talked about playing as a freshman or anything like that. But coach Heacock is doing an in-home visit Tuesday. Maybe we'll talk about it then."
The 6-foot-2 and 225 pound Spitler has been a varsity starter on both sides of the ball since his sophomore year. He led Bellbrook to a 7-3 record this season making 135 tackles and intercepting two passes from his inside linebacker spot.
Spitler had scholarship offers from Ohio State, Wisconsin, Indiana, and a number of MAC schools before selecting the Buckeyes.
