Speedy South Florida DB emerging
Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic Community cornerback Jon Lejiste could be one of the more highly-recruited prospects at his position in Palm Beach County for the Class of 2008.
The 6-foot, 180-pounder, who is on track to qualify academically with flying colors with a grade point average above 3.0, recently posted a 4.44-second 40-yard dash at the Miami NIKE Combine.

"I don't have any scholarship offers yet, but UCF, UConn and Georgia have been showing me attention," Lejiste said. "I also am interested in Rutgers, South Florida and Georgia Tech."
Lejiste, who wants to pursue a career in law and perhaps become a sports agent, will be looking at several aspects of a program before he makes his choice.
"I'm going to be looking at location, early playing time and their academic choices like what kind of programs they have that I could major in," he said.
He has several goals for the 2007 season.
"I'd like to have a lot of interceptions and increase my tackles and hopefully our team can make it and win the state."
Atlantic Community plays in Class 5A in the state of Florida.
