One of the top running backs in New Jersey for the 2002 season and a very under-rated player is Tajiddin Morris from Hightstown, (N.J.) Peddie. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound scat-back is a very good athlete with a 4.45-second 40-yard dash time and a 36-inch vertical jump. Going into his senior season, Taj has offers from Iowa, Rutgers and Boston College.
"This summer I went to Boston College, Rutgers, North Carolina, Wake Forest and Duke,” he said. “I enjoyed them all, but liked BC, UNC and Rutgers the best."
Tajiddin is an excellent student. He carries a 3.8 GPA and scored a 1090 on the SAT his first try. As a junior he gained more than 1,400 yards, but is looking for even a better year come September.
"I can’t wait for the season to start; I'm really excited and have been working hard. I had a slight injury last month, but now I'm fine and ready to go."
Taj plans on taking all of his visits before deciding, but for now his five favorites are Boston College, North Carolina, Rutgers, Virginia and Michigan St. It looks like the Eagles, Tar Heels and Scarlet Knights will be battling until the end. Taj is hoping for an offer from North Carolina soon.
