Speedy linebacker has two BCS offers

If you're a regular in the offseason camps and combines in the south Florida region, you may not know the name Issac Dixon, but you know the face. Dixon out of Opa Locka (Fla.) Monsignor Pace has been a regular on the camp circuit and has been one of the top performers wherever he has gone. Fortunately, colleges are starting to find out about his prowess.

On Tuesday, Dixon picked up an offer from Oklahoma State, his second official offer letter.

"I was surprised," Dixon said of the new offer. "I don't know that much about them but I'm going to look into them and find out more."

The Cowboy offer is added to his first official offer from Ole Miss that he received two weeks ago. As is often the case, Dixon's first offer was an exciting one.

"I was kind of excited when I got that," he said. "Everybody's first offer they get happy. I knew about Ole Miss. They were one of my top schools. I've seen them play a lot and I saw them beat Florida. I'm going to go on a visit and see the school and find out more."

Dixon, a speedy athletic linebacker, should see his stock continue to rise as colleges evaluate rising seniors this spring. At 5-foot-11, Dixon doesn't have ideal measurables but he does make plays.

He lists Florida, Miami, Oregon, Purdue, South Florida, UCF, FAU, Ohio State, Rutgers and Alabama as other schools that are pursuing him and has two schools in particular he would like to see offer.

"I'm kind of hoping Miami and Alabama offer," he said. "With Miami, I grew up in Miami so that would be a dream to go there. If I got offered by Miami, I would be ecstatic.

"Alabama, I like the program. Some kids from our team went up there last year and told me about it and I've watched the program and really like it."

Though Dixon is done with the combine circuit, he does hope to spend some time this summer taking in college camps.

"I have to pick out of five," he said. "I know I'm going to Alabama and Florida and I'm thinking about UCLA."
