Speedy DB getting looks

Snellville (Ga.) Brookwood safety Jared Reine is getting letters from a handful of programs.
The attention is welcome for the 6-foot-1, 180-pounder. Reine moved to the Atlanta area after evacuating New Orleans, where he played for Saint Augustine High, during Hurricane Katrina last August.

"I'd like to play safety (in college)," Reine said. "I'm good at pass defense and coming up and supporting the run."
Reine has been getting letters from Miami (Fla.), Florida State and Wake Forest. The letters from the Hurricanes stand out the most right now.
"Miami is the favorite," he said. "I just like the atmosphere. I've been liking Miami since childhood."
Reine is competing on Brookwood's track team this spring. He runs the 100 and 200-meter dash.
He hopes to make unofficial visits to Wake Forest and Miami this spring and will attend the Athens NIKE Camp April 29 on the campus of the University of Georgia.
