Speedster in no rush

Orlando (Fla.) Olympia three-star running back John Armstrong picked up his latest offer this past weekend.
"I believe it is six now," Armstrong said. "I just got one on Saturday from Iowa State, so that would be the sixth. I got the offer from Coach (Courtney) Messingham. He said that he likes the way that I play. He said I would be used for them the same way I am used in high school as a slot (receiver) and a running back."
Cincinnati, Duke, Florida International, Iowa State, Northern Illinois, and South Alabama are the schools to offer Armstrong. He also is drawing interest from Central Florida, Purdue, and South Florida. At this point, the 5-foot-8, 165-pound back says all of the schools are equal.
"Nobody really stands out as a leader," Armstrong said. "Right now everybody is just even."
This summer, he hopes to hit the road and check out a few of his options.
"I plan to try and visit Purdue, Florida International, and we are working on going to Cincinnati to take a visit there," Armstrong said. "We are working on a lot of visits right now."
As for a final decision, he isn't working with a specific date in mind for ending the process.
"I was thinking either the end of the summer or during the season," Armstrong said.
In addition to taking trips this summer, Armstrong is also focused on improving for his senior season on the field.
"I plan to work out a lot, work on getting stronger and faster," Armstrong said.
As a junior, Armstrong rushed for 1,101 yards and 14 touchdowns.
