Speedster DB Toune talks favorites

Brooklyn Park, Minn. defensive back/running back prospect Ted Toune (5-foot-10, 175 pounds) from Park Center High School has been keeping busy this spring with baseball. Toune, who's playing center field this spring, has also been keeping an eye on his football recruiting interest as well.

“Things have been going well," Ted Toune said. “I'm getting steady mail from Illinois, Iowa, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Boston College, Michigan, Arizona State and Maryland. Maryland and a few other schools have sent hand-written letters."

Toune is also planning to hit the road this spring. "My Dad and I sat down and tried to plan out a few road trips this spring around my baseball season. I've already been to Iowa for a junior day, so I'm also going to check out a practice at Michigan State, Illinois and Wisconsin over the next few weeks."

Will Toune also be hitting the camp circuit this spring and summer? "I'm going to the MinnesotaPreps.com combine on May 8th. As for this summer, I'm going to camp at Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa. Some of those will be full camps and a few might be one-day camps."

Does Toune have any favorites at this point? "I would say that Iowa, Michigan and Michigan State are my three favorites for now. Iowa has been recruiting me the longest, and I'm also very interested in both Michigan and Michigan State."
