Spartans to get visit from juco DE

El Dorado (Kan.) Butler County C.C. is home to the No. 1 ranked junior college team in the nation. It’s also home to four-star strongside defensive end prospect Justin Tomerlin. The 6-foot-6, 256-pound Tomerlin originally signed with Florida State out of high school and is now back on the market with a few new teams topping his list.
“I’m scheduled to visit Michigan State on November 12, and that’s the weekend after our championship game,” Tomerlin said. “Their defense is awesome. The second year coaches are perfect match for me. I like blowing up gaps and they like throwing guys up field. I’m going to check them out and see what it’s like. I need to see if I can live in that part of the country since I’m a California boy.”

Also on the menu for an official visit will likely be Kansas State. He has offers from both MSU and KSU, along with UTEP and Louisiana Monroe.
Tomerlin and his Grizzly teammates are set to battle this afternoon in the Jayhawk Conference semifinals against Garden City. If Butler wins they will likely face off against Coffeyville, the No. 2 team in the Jayhawk Conference again, but the Red Ravens must beat Hutchinson today.
