Lincolnshire (Ill.) Stevenson class of 2014 safety Matt Morrissey took his first game visit of the season on Saturday to see Michigan State host Notre Dame in East Lansing - a place he and his family know well.
"That was a great experience," Morrissey said. "A little bit bummed about the end of the game, but it was fun.
"Both of my parents went to Michigan State, so I definitely watched them throughout my childhood. A lot of my family has gone there and my sister is there now, so I visited with her a little bit. It's a great school and really exciting to get recruited by them."

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Morrissey had been in communication with Michigan State coaches prior to his visit this past weekend. This was his first time visiting the campus as a recruit, and he came away particularly impressed with the facilities.
This summer, Morrissey's lone college camp visit was to Wisconsin. He continues to hear from the Badgers as well as Illinois, Michigan, Northwestern, Ohio State and Purdue.
"I'm still talking with my dad to see if I can fit any games in with my football schedule," Morrissey said. "I think we should make a couple more games, maybe a couple around here. I probably will make a Northwestern game and then maybe I can go to an Illinois, Ohio State or Wisconsin."
Morrissey has helped Stevenson High get out to a 3-1 record this season. Defensively he has recorded an interception and he also has scored a few touchdowns from the wide receiver position on offense.
